Advantages of fresh cordyceps:
1, Fresh Cordyceps retains more nutrients than dried herb

After Cordyceps sinensis is dried and processed, some of the nutrients will be lost or degraded. While fresh Cordyceps can keep its original nutrients and active substances, which include amino acids, proteins, polysaccharides, vitamins and minerals, etc., which are very beneficial to human health.

2, Fresh Cordyceps has stronger active and bioactive substances

Some studies have found that fresh cordyceps contains a substance called cordycepin, which has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, immunomodulatory and many other effects. While the cordycepin in dried cordyceps may be partially inactivated or degraded due to high temperature in the drying process and other reasons, resulting in weakening of its activity.

3. Fresh Cordyceps is easier to digest and absorb

As fresh Cordyceps contains high water content, its texture is soft and more tender, and it is easy to be decomposed and absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. Dried Cordyceps, on the other hand, is relatively hard and low in water content, making it relatively difficult to digest and absorb. For people with poor stomach and intestines, consuming fresh cordyceps is gentler and less likely to cause discomfort.

4. Fresh Cordyceps has better taste and flavour.

Fresh Cordyceps has special aroma and toughness, which can add unique taste and flavour to food when cooking. In contrast, dried Cordyceps has a relatively homogeneous taste and cannot bring the same culinary experience.
