Cordyceps producing areas are mainly concentrated in the hinterland of the Tibetan Plateau, with an average altitude of more than 4200 metres above sea level, a cold, dry climate, fertile soil and rich in humus, where the quality of Cordyceps grown here is also very good, with high medicinal value, and is highly favoured in the market.
